The Length of Tahoe swim is the longest marathon swim on the lake. It is part of the “Tahoe Triple Crown” and the “Five Tails of Tessie” challenges. Swimmers will start at Camp Richardson on the south shore and ends at Hyatt Beach near Incline.
This swim begins in the dark and will require the swimmer to wear lights until sunrise. It typically takes swimmers 10+ hours to complete this swim, depending on their pace. This swim can be done in the opposite direction.

The Gauntlet swim is a Reptile creation - yet to be completed by any swimmer. The Gauntlet is a combination of the Viking, Godfather, and Thunderbird without stopping. This swim begins in Emerald Bay and zig zags across Lake Tahoe, ending at the Thunderbird Mansion Beach. This is a non-stop swim with 10 minutes of rest between each length.
This swim begins in the dark and will require the swimmer to wear lights until sunrise. It will take swimmers 15+ hours to complete this swim, depending on their pace. This swim can be done in the opposite direction.
